Acquire an Advocate for yourself for the Day of Judgment
Shulem and Brucha,
I would like to share some of my thoughts with you.
I am frequently amazed how, after a long and tiring day at school, children come to our synagogue, "Naveh Avraham" to spend the hours until the evening, enthusiastically studying and participating in our project's extra torah studies program.
I am amazed: how is that the children are not tired when they participate in our important program?
How is it that even though there are many other tempting and interesting things to do, they would rather come to our synagogue?
The answer is really simple: children go where it is fun to be at! Their persistence in coming unquestionably shows that it really is fun for them.
But is it really only fun?
In truth, the fun is just that part the draws them to our project where they acquire the really important things that our project offers to them:
The desire to improve their moral sensitivity, their torah and their spirituality.
For this, the children have a great thirst and we try to quench their thirst with all these wonderful things.
